I read The Dressmaker after seeing the movie, wish I enjoyed, and to my delight the book was as good if not better than the movie. Rosalie Ham created a wonderful town peopled with typical small town people, we all know people just like them and having them grouped together was perfect.4/5. Rosalie Ham is the author of four previous books, including the bestselling novels The Year of the Farmer and The Dressmaker, now an award-winning film starring Kate Winslet, Liam Hemsworth, Judy Davis and Hugo Weaving. Rosalie was born and raised in Jerilderie, New South Wales, where her family still farm, and now lives in Melbourne, Australia. The hero of Rosalie Ham’s The Dressmaker, Tilly Dunnage, returns in The Dressmaker’s Secret, the sequel 20 years after Ham’s debut, where it is still the s and we find the fashionistas Author: Louise Swinn.

Delighting in all things Bookish

Rosalie was born and raised in Jerilderie, New South Wales, where her family still farm, and now lives in Melbourne, Australia. Rosalie Ham appears to me, an un-fashion aware person, to know her stuff when it comes to dresses and dressmaking. Unfortunately, this does not translate to an enjoyable book. flag 21 likes · Like · see review/5(K).
